The “CEA” project is run by the UK German Connection and hosted by our English Language Assistant. This year’s project theme is ‘Culture and Identity’, and our year 9 class is enjoying activities which aim to explore different identities and cultures. All while gaining the experience of an English language exchange. The project involves two schools in the UK, and STS Poppenbüttel and another German member school. So far, we’ve sent letters and a parcel to one of our partner schools in the UK, and contributed to our project group blog with things like a quiz and short podcasts on German stereotypes and an introductory video to our school. Currently the students are working on their final project, which is to create a recipe card and presentation on a culturally significant dish. The project is a success both among teaching staff and students!
